Mumbai Congress members today ride bullock carts during a protest against Maharashtra Government's decision to levy surcharge on diesel and petrol to mop up funds to tackle drought-like conditions in parts of the State.
Party workers rode bullock carts from Metro Cinema junction to Azad Maidan in South Mumbai to register their protest, which was led by city Congress President Sanjay Nirupam.
Nirupam demanded that Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis should rethink his decision to impose surcharge on diesel, petrol and a slew of other commodities.
