Congress MLAs today created a ruckus in the Gujarat Legislative Assembly over the issue of MSP being offered to farmers during the presentation of the Budget 2018-19.
Around 60 Opposition MLAs staged a walkout in the House during the budget speech of Finance Minister Nitin Patel, alleging that farmers are suffering under the BJP rule.
The walkout preceded by the eviction of Congress MLA Harshad Ribadia by marshals after he threw groundnuts in the Well of the House when Patel was reading budgetary allocations for the agriculture sector.

Following a strong objection raised by the treasury benches against Ribadia's act, Speaker Rajendra Trivedi summoned marshals who evicted the Congress MLA.
Later, all the remaining opposition MLAs walked out of the House.
After they left, the finance minister slammed the Congress over the protest and said the state government has purchased groundnut worth Rs 3600 crore from farmers this season.
