Opposition Congress today staged a walkout from the Madhya Pradesh Assembly here after they charged the state government of being "insensitive" towards agitating contractual teachers, who are demanding wages at par with the permanent staff.
The matter was raised by Sukhdev Panse (Congress) during the Question Hour.
Replying to the query, School Education Minister, Archana Chitnis said the government has not taken any decision on the demand of 'same wages for same work'.

Ajay said that the BJP had assured in 2008 Assembly elections, Rs 50,000 loan to farmers and also promised in its manifesto to give same wages for same work to contractual teachers and their merger in education department.
However, after coming to power it has backed out.
Earlier, Panse said that nearly 20,000 teachers along with their wives were staging protest at Shahjehani Park here and were allegedly roughed up by police.
