Congress will work as a team, says D'Souza

Congress would work as oneteam under Chief Minister Siddramaiah andKPCC chief G Parameshwara to ensure a certain victory for the party in the coming assembly elections, Chief Whip in the Karnataka Legislative Council Ivan D'Souza said today.

Addressing reporters here, he welcomed the party high command's decision to give another term for Parameshwara as KPCC president.

He said the party had not thought of advancing the elections as being rumoured and it would be held as per schedule.

The Congress would go to the people on the basis of the stable and progressive government provided by the party without facing any allegation of corruption.
 

On the Union government's regulations on the sale of cattle for slaughter, D'Souza said it would create further conflict in the society.

The policy would affect the catttle farmers and consumers who had the right to eat the food of their choice.
