Thousands of devotees today witnessed the consecration of Thiru Avinan Kudi temple, a sub temple of the famous Sri Dhandayuthapaniswamy Devasthanam here, performed after a gap of 12 years.
The temple had been renovated at a cost of Rs One crore and elaborate arrangements were made by the temple officials.
The consecration of Rajagoparam and towers of various sannathis were performed simultaneously in the temple.
Feeding of about 10,000 devotees marked the occasion, Executive officer-In-Charge, Rajamanikam said.
