A constable was injured as he accidentally shot himself while cleaning his rifle here, the police said today.
He was rushed to nearby hospital where his condition is said to be "serious".
Rajendra, a Palwal resident, was deployed in Budhena village to provide security to a family when the incident occurred this morning, a police spokesman said.
"Rajendra couldn't record his statement as he is serious," the spokesman added.
The police are probing into the incident.
