A police constable has been accused of manhandling former personal assistant of Union Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar and his minor daughter during the ISL final held today in Margao town.

Shailesh Ugadekar, former PA to Parrikar and currently attached to Goa Tourism Minister Dilip Parulekar, was allegedly manhandled during the ISL final match.

"The constable manhandled me and also pushed my minor daughter when we had gone to see the match," Ugadekar told PTI.

Ugadekar, who was the PA to Manohar Parrikar when he was Goa Chief Minister, said he and his daughter will file police complaint against the constable whose buckle number has been noted by him.

Ugadekar was accompanying his family to see the final.

"First while going inside the stadium the constable fought with me and later after the match too he picked up quarrel and pushed my daughter," he said.

Superintendent of Police (South) Shekhar Prabhudesai said proper action would be initiated against the constable after a complaint is received.

"We will first inquire into the complaint," he said.

The officer, however, refused to comment on the alleged conduct of the constable.
