In two separate incidents of police personnel being allegedly involved in sexual harassment of their women colleagues in the district, a police constable was arrested while another absconding.
Constable Chinnasamy, attached to Manimutharu Armed Police Battalion, was arrested today for allegedly sexually harassing a woman colleague of the battalion during nights, police said.
In the other incident, constable Rajendran of the same battalion, on security duty at Gopalasamuthiram, allegedly made advances towards a woman colleague last night.
She did not budge and lodged a complaint with the officials, police said, adding, Rajendran was absconding.
