Constable beaten up

beaten up allegedly by three men in a case of road rage in north Delhi early this morning.

The incident took place in Jyoti Nagar and the victim has been identified as Pradeep Kumar (30), police said.

One of the attackers was overpowered at the spot by Kumar and handed over to police.

Pradeep is posted with the 3rd Battalion of Delhi Armed Police.

He was going towards his brother Praveen's residence in Johripur village on a motorcycle when the incident took place at around 12:10 AM.

According to Prdeep, when he reached Loni Road, he saw three men identified as Jagdish Singh, Pawan and Manoj, who were pushing a broken down delivery van, so he tried to pass through from a distance.

 

However, one of the men allegedly kicked Pradeep's motorcycle and he fell down.

The constable then entered into an argument after which the trio allegedly beat him up.
