Constable Sarvesh Naik allegedly assaulted Sunita Gaonkar when both of them were on duty at Ponda police station, 30 kms from here, they said.
The incident happened around midnight, officials said adding, that the complaint was registered this morning.
The complaint has also been referred to senior police officials for disciplinary action against the constable.
