A police constable and a clerk with a state power distribution company were today arrested by the anti-corruption bureau for allegedly taking bribe in separate cases.
Upper Division Clerk Gulab Chand, posted with Jaipur Power Distribution Corporation here, was caught while accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a man for completing formalities for issue of a domestic power connection, IG ACB Smita Srivastava said here.
In another case, constable Chandmal with the Srimadhopur police station in Sikar was arrested for accepting a bribe of Rs 3,000 from one Rohitash Kumar to settle a case lodged against his brother-in-law, Srivastava said.
