A 59-year-old police head constable allegedly committed suicide here after a quarrel with his wife.
Suresh Solanki, posted at the Police Training College here, hanged himself with the ceiling at his home in Panchsheel Nagar here last night, a sub-inspector at Azad Nagar police station said today.
He was found hanging by his son who returned home in the night.
The constable was rushed to a hospital where he was declared dead.
Solanki's wife had been ailing since a long time and both used to have frequent quarrels. The couple had an argument related to domestic issues yesterday following which the wife went to her parent's place in Ujjain, the police officer said.
Solanki was alone at his home when he took the extreme step, he said, adding that a case has been registered in this connection.
