Constable injured in knife attack as men try to snatch phone

A 27-year-old Delhi Police constable was stabbed allegedly by three men who tried to snatch his mobile phone at Pushp Vihar bus stand in south Delhi.

The incident occurred yesterday around 10.25 PM, officials said.

When Vishram, who is posted at the Kalkaji police station, was waiting for a bus at the Pushp Vihar bus stand, three men came on a motorcycle and stopped in front of him, police said.

They tried to rob his cell phone but when he resisted, one of the accused attacked him with a knife, they added.

However, they could not succeed in snatching his mobile phone, even as a wounded Vishram was rushed to AIIMS Trauma Centre where he was discharged after first-aid.
 

Police said they trying to identify the accused and questioning some of the men, who were standing at the bus stand at the time of the incident.
