A police constable attached to Pollachi Taluk Station was today placed under suspension for allegedly creating public nuisance under the influence of liquor.
Anandakumar was on duty at Ramapattinam check post last night and he was reportedly picked up quarrel with his colleagues, police said.
Under the influence of liquor he allegedly danced in the middle of the road, which was reported to the higher police officials by the general public, they said.
Based on information, Superintendent of Police, Sudagar placed the constable under suspension, pending inquiry, police said.
