The Superintendent of Police, Manu Maharaj, said that the contable Dharmendra Kumar was suspended for abetting illegal quarrying by intentionally letting tractors laden with illegal stones to go away.
The constable was detained yesterday during a raid against illegal quarrying when 200 detonators and vehicles were seized, he said.
