Construction labourer who killed his colleague arrested

The police arrested a construction labourer for allegedly killing one of his colleagues brutually, the police said here today.

Senior police inspector Vilas Suryvanshi, of the Kasarwadavali police station told PTI today that the Hanumant Narsingh Mitkar (40) had attacked Rajesh B Sav (35) who allegedly trespassed into a house at about 2.30 am. On Thursday.

The accused allegedly fled the scene but the police traced him and arrested him, he said.

The accused saw the victim entering the house of the former's sister-in-law who also lived in the same locality in the construction site and fatally attacked him, he said.
 

Another worker Dileep Hadse who was also present at the time of the attack was at large, the police official said, adding that a hunt is on to trace him.

An offence has been registered under Section 302 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code and further investigations into the case are on, the police official said.
