Bansal had filed his complaint before the Forum against Sumitra Gas Agency and District Food and Supply Officer, Ludhiana.
Pronouncing the order yesterday, Forum president R L Ahuja directed the gas agency to pay Rs 2,000 on account of deficiency of service and further ordered to pay Rs 1,000 as cost of litigation.
In his complaint, Bansal had alleged that bogus cancellation of gas booking, deficiency of services and harassment had been caused by the gas agency.
The Forum accepted the compliant as the gas agency failed to convince it in clearing the allegations levelled by the consumer.
