Contest open to create logo of Kolkata film fest

The state government today threw open a contest to create a logo for the annual Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF).

Announcing this, state's Information and Cultural Affairs Secretary Atri Bhattacharya said since the gala festival involves common people, the state government welcomes nomination for logos from them.

A jury committee has been set up for selecting the permanent logo.

Inviting nominations within October 21, Bhattacharya asked people to come forward with their talent to make this week-long gala event, beginning November 10, more colourful.

He also announced that the creator of the winning logo would get an award of Rs one lakh while the second and third winner would get Rs 50,000 and Rs 25,000 respectively.
