As soon as he started his speech during the 'Adhikar Sammelan' here to explain the need for grant of special category status, about 50-60 contractual teachers raised slogans and displayed placards raising their demand for regularization of service.

Kumar, who is facing similar protest at all his public meetings since embarking on the 'Adhikar Yatra' on September 19 last, lost his cool and slammed the protesters for habitually disrupting his meetings.

"Your (protesters) misconduct has caused embarrassment to me," he said.

"I was criticized earlier for recruiting bulk of contractual teachers to improve primary education and in the bargain given employment to large number of educated unemployed youths," Kumar said.

He warned the contractual teachers against refraining from disruption of his 'Adhikar Sammelans' in the districts and said that they will not be spared if his supporters were to take law in their hands to deal with handful of protesters. MORE
