Press Trust of India Chandigarh
Congress today criticised the bid by some RSS outfits to convert people in large numbers and expressed concerns that it might hit the delicate social fabric of the country and communalise the situation.

"Members of the Sangh Parivar outfits are unabashedly pursuing their 'Ghar Vapsi' agenda to forcibly convert people as had happened recently in Agra.

"They are advancing one point agenda which is injecting poison in the secular fabric of the country and vitiating the political discourse," Punjab Congress President Partap Singh Bajwa said.

Referring to the recent comments made by Union Minister Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, Bajwa claimed that she made the remarks from the Akali Dal stage itself while addressing a political conference in Delhi.

He alleged that efforts were on to saffronise the education system.

He also warned the Sangh Parivar against the pursuing its "communal agenda".
