Madhya Pradesh Small Scale Industries Organisation (MPSSIO) has demanded that the leased land provided to small and medium entrepreneurs should be converted into free-hold.
The organisation also demanded that such entrepreneurs should be given permanent licenses.
"Madhya Pradesh government should convert the leased land given to the small and medium entrepreneurs into free hold. It will be beneficial for these industries," MPSSIO president Kailash Agrawal told reporters.

MPSSIO general secretary Vipin Kumar Jain claimed that banks refuse to provide adequate loans to such entrepreneurs saying their land is a leased property.
"If the government converts the leased land into the free hold then banks would be able to provide adequate loan to them. The small and medium entrepreneurs would also be able to grow," Jain said.
MPSSIO also demanded issuance of permanent licenses to avoid repeated renewal.
As the industries established after the introduction of the GST would not get relaxation in commercial tax, the government should provide subsidy to such industries, according to Jain and Agrawal.
