Alastair Cook and Joe Root struck hundreds as England reached 364 for six in their second innings at tea on the fourth day of the final Test here on Sunday.
At the break, England led India by 404 runs with Sam Curran (7) and Ben Stokes (13) at the crease.
Cook scored 147 and skipper Root 125 before being dismissed by Hanuma Vihari in successive deliveries.
