A policeman allegedly shot dead his cousin and injured two others over a property dispute here.
"The incident took place last night. Inspector Subhash, posted as head operator in the police wireless department in Shrawasti district, has been arrested. A double barrel gun and empty shells have been seized from the spot," Superintendent of Police, Mau, Abhishek Yadav said today.
The body of the deceased (Anirudh) has been sent for postmortem, he said.
The matter is being investigated, police added.
