Cop arrested with heroin, other intoxicants in Jammu

Two grams of heroin worth Rs 10,000 and 30 intoxicant capsules were allegedly recovered from his possession

A constable of Jammu and Kashmir Police was arrested from the city allegedly with heroin and other intoxicants in his possession.

Constable Arvind Kumar, posted as wireless operator at Police Control Room (PCR) Jammu, was arrested at Rehari last evening, a police officer said.

He said two grams of heroin worth Rs 10,000 and 30 intoxicant capsules were allegedly recovered from his possession.

A case under various sections of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act was registered against the accused at Bakshi Nagar Police Station.

"We will take strict action against the accused, we may throw him out of the police force," SSP Jammu, Uttam Chand told PTI.
