A 19-year-old woman from Alirajpur district has alleged rape by a 25-year-old police constable under the pretext of marriage.
Following her complaint, police have booked Balram Mukati, posted at City Kotwali police station, under the charge of rape.
"The girl, a resident of a village under Nanpur police station in the district, claimed she has been knowing the constable for last two years. She stated he established physical relations with her for two years and then refused to marry her," Addition Superintendent of Police (ASP) Meena Chouhan told PTI today.
The officer said Mukati has been suspended and will be arrested soon.
