A Beverly Hills policeman has filed a lawsuit against the city claiming he was harassed and denied promotions for informing his seniors about a fellow cop, who allegedly disrespected Whitney Houston's body.

In the lawsuit, Brian Weir says he's been harassed at work and removed from the SWAT and K-9 units since filing a claim in September that accused detective sergeant Terry Nutall of making inappropriate comments about Houston's body, according to CBS Los Angeles.

Houston, 48, was found dead in the bathtub of her hotel room on February 11, 2012.

Weir had claimed that Nutall removed a sheet that had been placed over the singer's body and disturbed the scene of the investigation besides making improper comments.

Beverly Hills police had refuted the allegations in September.
