FIR was lodged last night at the Government Railway Police station by PAC jawan Shivkumar, a day after he along with five other policemen were booked for misbehaving with Kaushambi MP Shailendra Kumar and manhandling his supporters, SP (Railway) Ramashankar said.

On Tuesday night, the MP, who had arrived at the Allahabad Junction to board Prayagraj Express, was stopped by security personnel when he tried to enter through the 'VIP gate'.

This was followed by a heated exchange between the Lok Sabha member's supporters and the security personnel, who allegedly manhandled some of the party workers.

Shivkumar had suffered minor injuries in the skirmish, the SP said.

The MP boarded the train and left for the national capital after verbally complaining about the incident to the GRP Inspector.

An FIR was lodged on Wednesday night against the security personnel, including few unidentified Railway Protection Force jawans, after the matter was brought to the notice of higher officials.

"We are now investigating allegations made by both sides," Ramashankar said.
