A lower-rung police officer
was detained on Saturday in Aurangabad in Maharashtra for allegedly accepting Rs 4000 in bribe for extending an official favour, an ACB official said.
The Assistant Sub-Inspector Subhash Bhosale (55) was allegedly accepting the money from the complainant for returning his mobile phone at Satara police station in the city.
The process to register a case was underway.
