An Assistant Sub Inspector of Delhi Police today sustained head injuries in a mysterious shooting incident at police line here in central Delhi, police said.
The 50-year-old police man was found lying in a pool of blood by another policeman inside the police line premises at Chanakyapuri, a senior official said.
He was taken to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital where his condition was stated to be critical, the officer said adding he received a bullet injury on his head.
According to the officer, a probe is to ascertain how the ASI sustained the bullet wound.
