Cop suspended after disproportionate assets case against him

An inspector was today suspended after Anti-Corruption Bureau (ABC) registered a disproportionate assets case against him, police said.

Sheikh Hussain, Inspector of Coastal Security Police, Pudimadaka in Visakhapatnam district, was suspended by DIG (Visakha Range) A Ravichandra till investigation against him is completed, they said.

Hussain was found in alleged possession of assets worth Rs 20 crore which are disproportionate to known sources of his income, the ACB had said on February 17.
