A sub-inspector of Goa Police, who was arrested for allegedly raping her 19-year-old niece, was today suspended.
State Director General of Police Kishen Kumar has issued the suspension order of Razashad Sheikh this evening, police said.
Sheikh, who is currently in custody, was arrested yesterday for raping his niece at several occasions since January this year.

The complaint lodged by victim's mother mentioned that the girl was so much depressed that she even attempted suicide.
According to police, the accused, who is in his late twenties, is married and the victim was staying at his place when the offence was committed.
