Copper and tin weaken on reduced demand

Copper and tin prices weakened at the non-ferrous metal market here today due to stockists' selling amid reduced demand from industrial users.

While brass sheet cuttings and zinc gained owing to good demand from alloy industries.

Copper scrap heavy dropped by Rs 7 per kg to Rs 383 from Wednesday's close at Rs 390.

Copper cable scrap, copper wire bar and tin declined by Rs 5 per kg each to Rs 390, Rs 418, Rs 1,365 as against Rs 395, Rs 423 and Rs 1,370 yesterday.

Copper armature, copper utensils and copper sheet cuttings softened by a Re per kg each to Rs 370, Rs 345 and Rs 366 respectively.
 

However, brass sheet cuttings rose by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 310 as compared Rs 300 yesterday and zinc edged up by Rs 4 per kg to Rs 218 from Rs 214.
