Copper, brass decline on low demand

Copper and brass prices declined at the non-ferrous metal market here today on stockists' selling amid lower demand from industrial users.

Copper cables scrap, copper armiture and copper wire bar eased by a Rs 3 per kg each to Rs 400, Rs 388 and Rs 428 from last week's closing level of Rs 403, Rs 388 and Rs 431, respectively.

Copper scrap heavy, copper utensils scrap, copper sheet cutting and brass utensils scrap all edged down by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 395, Rs 362, Rs 382 and Rs 315 from Rs 397, Rs 364, Rs 384 and Rs 317, previously.
 

Brass sheet cutting softened by a Re per kg to Rs 320.
