Copper and brass prices recovered modestly at the non-ferrous metal market here today on stockist buying amidst good demand from industrial users.
Meanwhile, nickel and aluminium declined on lower offtake from consumer as well as alloy industries.
The industrial metals was trading steady in early trade, as brighter prospects for the US economy were chilled by caution over China's stuttering property market, while a stronger dollar sapped a rebound from seven-week lows.

Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper wire bar, brass utensils scrap and brass sheet cutting all inched up by Re 1 per kg each to Rs 492, Rs 484, Rs 520, Rs 336 and Rs 353, respectively.
However, tin dropped by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,585 from Rs 1,590.
Aluminium ingot eased by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 166 from Rs 169 and aluminum utensils scrap softened by Re 1 per kg to Rs 134.
