Copper, brass, zinc drop on reduced demand

Copper, brass and zinc prices dropped further at the non-ferrous metal market today due to sustained stockist selling amid reduced demand from industrial users.

Copper cable scrap and copper wire bar declined by Rs 8 per kg each to Rs 399 and Rs 427 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 407 and Rs 435.

Copper scrap heavy and copper utensils scrap fell by Rs 4 per kg each to Rs 393 and Rs 357 from Rs 397 and Rs 361, respectively.

Copper sheet cutting eased by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 383 as against Rs 386 yesterday.

Brass utensils scrap, brass sheet cutting and zinc prices moved down by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 313, Rs 318 and Rs 227 compared to Rs 315, Rs 320 and Rs 229, respectively.
 

Copper armature softened by a Re per kg to Rs 390.
