Copper extends gains on increased demand

Copper extended gains with prices rising further by Rs 2 per kg on the local non-ferrous metals market today on increased demand from consuming industries.

Traders said increased demand from consuming industries influenced copper prices.

In the national capital, copper mixed scrap added another Rs 2 to Rs 437 per kg.

Following are today's metal rates per kg:

Zinc ingot 115-121, nickel plate (4x4) 1,094-1,095 gun metal scrap 227, bell metal scrap 229, copper mixed scrap 437, chadri deshi 285.

Lead ingot 124, lead imported 122, aluminium ingots 150, Aluminium sheet cutting 151, aluminium wire scrap 153 and aluminium utensils scrap 150.
