Copper prices declined further by 0.22 per cent to Rs 367.40 per kg in futures trading today as speculators engaged in trimming their positions, tracking a weak trend at spot market on muted demand from consuming industries.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in far-month June fell 80 paise, or 0.22 per cent, to Rs 367.40 per kg, in a business turnover of 405 lots.

Likewise, the metal for delivery in April traded lower by 65 paise, or 0.18 per cent, to Rs 363.50 per kg in 16,367 lots.

Analysts said offloading of positions by participants due to lower demand from consuming industries in the spot market, mainly kept copper prices down at futures trade.
