Copper futures on Friday traded 0.44 per cent lower at Rs 429.10 per kg after participants offloaded their positions on weak spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for March delivery fell by Rs 1.90, or 0.44 per cent, to Rs 429.10 per kg in a business turnover of 2,374 lots.
Similarly, copper contracts for April delivery traded lower by Rs 2.35, or 0.54 per cent, to Rs 431.25 per kg in a business turnover of 22 lots.
Traders said subdued demand in spot market mainly pushed down copper prices here.
