Copper futures traded Rs 1.75 lower at Rs 324 per kg in special Muhurat trading as speculators booked profits to mark the beginning of Samvat year 2072.
The exchange remained closed for the morning session on account of 'Diwali' festival.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in current month was trading lower by Rs 1.75, or 0.54 per cent, at Rs 324 per kg, with a business turnover of 1,221 lots.

Likewise, the metal for delivery in far-month February 2016 edged down by Rs 1.50, or 0.45 per cent, to Rs 330.85 per kg, with a business turnover of 67 lots.
Market participants said speculators trimmed position to to book profits on the first session of the Samvat year 2072 amid weak global cues in the special Muhurat trading session at futures trade here.
