Copper futures traded 0.17 per cent lower at Rs 383.15 per kg today as speculators offloaded bets.

Furthermore, subdued demand at domestic spot market pushed down the metal's prices.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in April shed 65 paise, or 0.17 per cent, to Rs 383.15 per kg, in a business turnover of 803 lots.

Also, metal for delivery in June fell by a similar margin to trade at Rs 386.80 per kg in 4 lots.

Analysts attributed the fall to offloading of positions by participants amid muted demand at the domestic spot markets.
