Taking weak cues from global market, copper futures traded 0.40 per cent lower at Rs 383.95 per kg today as speculators offloaded bets.
Furthermore, subdued demand at domestic spot market pushed down metal prices.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in April shed Rs 1.55, or 0.40 per cent, to Rs 383.95 per kg, in a business turnover of 1,353 lots.
Analysts attributed the fall to a weak trend in select base metals at the London Metal Exchange and muted demand at the domestic spot markets.
