Copper up 0.1% on spot demand

Marketmen said pick up in domestic demand mainly pushed up copper prices at futures trade

Copper futures prices rose marginally by 0.15% to Rs 399.90 per kg today amid a firming trend at spot markets on industrial demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in February rose by 60 paise, or 0.15%, to Rs 399.70 per kg, with a business turnover of 156 lots.

Similarly, the metal for delivery in far-month April moved up by 40 paise, or 0.10%, to Rs 403.70 per kg in 16 lots.

Marketmen said pick up in domestic demand mainly pushed up copper prices at futures trade.
