Falling for the second straight day, copper prices fell further by 0.12 per cent to Rs 367.95 per kg in futures market today as participants engaged in reducing their positions, tracking a weak trend overseas.
Besides, muted demand from consuming industries at domestic spot market fuelled the downtrend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in far-month August declined by 45 paise, or 0.12 per cent to Rs 367.95 per kg in business turnover of 30 lots.

Likewise, the metal for delivery in June contracts traded lower by 40 paise, or 0.11 per cent to Rs 364.45 per kg in 603 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by participants on the back of a weak trend overseas mainly kept pressure on copper prices at futures trade.
Globally, copper for delivery in three-months fell 0.5 per cent to USD 5,636 metric a tonne on the London Metal Exchange in yesterday's trade.
