Copper futures fell 0.35 per cent to Rs 426.30 per kg today as speculators trimmed positions amid low demand at the domestic spot markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in February contracts declined by Rs 1.50, or 0.35 per cent, to Rs 426.30 per kg in business turnover of 189 lots.
The metal for delivery in April also fell Rs 1.35, or 0.31 per cent, to Rs 429.90 per kg in business volume of two lots.
Analysts said a weakening trend in base metals at the domestic spot markets due to slackened demand from consuming industries led to the fall in copper prices at futures trade here.
