Copper prices declined by 0.64 per cent to Rs 385.40 per kg in futures trade today as speculators trimmed their positions, driven by subdued demand in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in June fell by Rs 2.50, or 0.64 per cent, to Rs 385.40 per kg, in a business turnover of five lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in April shed Rs 2.15, or 0.56 per cent, to Rs 381.70 per kg in 1,002 lots.
Analysts attributed the fall in copper futures to muted demand from consuming industries at the domestic spot market.
