Copper rises by 0.3% on global cues

Rising physical demand at the domestic spot market supported the upside

Tracking gains in base metals at the London Metal Exchange, copper prices were up 0.29% to Rs 364 per kg in futures trade today.

At Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in November traded higher by Rs 1.05, or 0.29%, at Rs 364 per kg in a business turnover of nine lots.

Similarly, the metal for delivery in August moved by a Re , or 0.28%, to Rs 357.30 per kg in 870 lots.

Analysts said apart from a firming trend in base metals at the London Metal Exchange (LME), rising physical demand at the domestic spot market supported the upside.
