Copper futures eased by 0.09 per cent to Rs 445.40 per kg as participants cut down positions due to easing demand in the domestic spot markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in February fell by 40 paise, or 0.09 per cent, to Rs 445.40 per kg in a business turnover of 1,062 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in April declined by 30 paise, or 0.07 per cent, to Rs 448.85 per kg in 109 lots.
Marketmen attributed the fall in copper prices at futures trade to a weak trend at the domestic spot market owing to muted demand from consuming industries.
