Select copper prices gained in an otherwise lackluster non-ferrous metal market here today on buying by stockists amid moderate demand from industrial users.

While, tin and nickel slipped due to selling as well as subdued offtake from alloy industries.

In overseas markets, the industrial metal copper moved up in listless early trade as the dollar weakened, but expectations of slowing demand in summer capped demand.

Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper armiture, copper wire bar all moved up by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 450, Rs 445, Rs 434 and Rs 470 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 448, Rs 443, Rs 432 and Rs 468, respectively.

However, tin dropped by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 1,205 from overnight close of Rs 1,215 and nickel fell by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,005 as against Rs 1,010 previously.
