Prices of copper and lead went up by Rs 2 per kg at the local non-ferrous metal market today on increased demand from consuming industries amid a firm global trend.
Traders said besides increased demand from consuming industries, a firm global trend led to the rise in copper and lead prices.
Meanwhile, copper for delivery in three-month advanced 0.2 per cent to USD 6,646.25 a metric tonne on the London Metal Exchange.

In the national capital, copper mixed scrap, lead ingot and lead imported went up by Rs 2 each to Rs 427, Rs 104 and Rs 105 per kg, respectively.
