Copper, nickel decline on sluggish demand

Copper and nickel prices were declined at the non-ferrous metal market here today due to sluggish demand from industrial users.

Meanwhile, tin, lead, and zinc firmed up following steady demand from alloy industries.

Nickel prices fell by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 795 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 805.

Copper sheet cuttings edged down by Rs 4 per kg to Rs 342 as against Rs 346 last Saturday and copper armature softened by a Re per kg to Rs 350.

However, tin rose by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,405 as compared to Rs 1,400 previously.
 

Zinc and lead prices inched up by Re per kg each to Rs 194 and Rs 137 respectively.
